This nationally acclaimed festival is a consistent hit with music lovers, families, and seasoned festival goers alike. Famous for its complete lack of corporate sponsorship or branding, the event is now in it’s 16th year – having remained at the stunning Escot Park since day one.
dB Production Services has been been delighted to work on this site since the event’s inception, and for the last four years we’ve focussed on the Theatre Stage. Installing an entirely temporary performance venue, complete with tiered seating, is a challenging yet fun experience – and it goes to show that the festival organisers truly care about alternative festival entertainment.
Our production solution included a large, levelled stage structure built expertly onto muddy and undulating ground, with a considerable amount of trussing flown to the roof of the Big Top. Also supplied was a full stage lighting and PA package, as well as drape and set designed to transform this giant tent into a fully fledged venue for a whole host of non-musical entertainments.
Highlights for 2015 incluced the Circus of Horrors, an alternative circus with bizarre & unbelievable acts performed by an almighty cast, to an auditory backdrop of live rock music. Performing on the saturday was renowned comic Steve Jameson, appearing as his comedy alter-ego Sol Bernstein.
